What Azuki Elementals Tells Us About NFTs

What’s up legends 🤘

This week I will cover the Azuki controversy and what this says about NFTs🌱

Let’s get into it 👉

Azuki Shakes Up NFTs ⤵️

Following their Las Vegas event, Azuki minted their new NFT collection this week called Elementals.

The collection is 20k supply. 10k were airdropped to Azuki holders and 10k were minted for a price of 2 ETH.

As a spectator, I had high hopes for the team, the community, and the NFT space in general.

Unfortunately, many were disappointed by the art saying it “diluted” the original collection because the art was very similar.

The team themselves seemed to realize that they may have missed the mark:

The first step toward improvements is accountability, which is nice to see from the team.

The reality is, Azuki has executed time and time again, and nobody thought they could mess up, but just like everyone, they are not immune to mistakes.

My Thoughts on The State of NFTs 👇

This event shows us that even the best of the best can get it wrong.

Where some think NFTs are pointless, I see things differently.

I believe NFTs define cultural layer of the decentralized internet and form a basis for strong and accomplished communities.

With that being said, NFTs are still an investment, and like anything else the price can go up or down.

As Azuki’s collections tanked, I realized people’s expectations are sometimes unrealistic and blind them from the bigger picture.

The biggest aspect of NFTs is community. The community can thrive regardless of the price, unless you choose to sell, in which you are leaving.

This is what a lot of Azuki holders did, sold and had instant regret because they let their immediate emotions direct unthoughtful actions.

When it comes down to it, NFTs have given vast amounts of opportunity to people to connect and make money.

If you are complaining that your JPEG is down from $35k to $18k after minting for a fraction of that, you should probably be grateful for what you have, or blame yourself for not selling the top.

No team is immune to mess ups and the reaction of the Azuki community or “The Garden🌱” told me everything I need to know.

Which is why I did this 👉

Capitalizing on Opportunity 🦾

As an investor and active member of the Web 3 space, I look for opportunity.

I always wanted an entry into the Azuki community, which is why I took advantage:

The community is unmatched and I have full faith in the team to deliver.

When you are looking to buy NFTs, ask yourself these questions:

  • What will the community do for you?

  • Do you have faith in the team?

  • Can you afford to lose this money?

  • What are the risks of buying?

  • What are the benefits?

Because I was able to answer all of these questions confidently, I bought the FUD.

The Azuki related events told us a lot about NFTs this week. Pay attention, learn lessons, and think for yourself.

At the end of the day, Azuki will have more members in their community, in which they can help themselves move forward.
