Introduction to my life

How did I get here?
Great Psychologist Jordan Peterson once said, “What you aim at determines what you see.” Coming out of high school I didn’t have an aim. I always felt like I had it in me to shoot for the stars, but the stars were always dim and blurry. I reluctantly stepped foot on the University of San Diego’s campus in 2019 to satisfy the “norm” and not myself. I was far more concerned with tomorrow’s wave forecast and how much I was going to lift at the gym that day then the Intro to World Religion class I was taking because I HAD to. Fast Forward two years and I would say my life has not changed much, other than the fact that I found purpose. Trust me, my life’s purpose was not a voice from the sky whispering how I was gonna kill it in life. It took fortitude, experimentation, and an open-mind to figure out that I wanted to contribute to the next wave of technological advancement, blockchain. However, given that I have too many interests to focus on just one, I hope to bring my observations of the world to light in this newsletter. Here is what to expect:

1. Blockchain, Cryptocurrency, and NFTs
Sifting through potential career ideas can be daunting, however I believe it is necessary. Who knew it would take blindly investing 200 dollars into Shiba Inu (a popular cryptocurrency) to be completely enamored with the future of technology, currency, and monkey pictures. As I learn to code and understand the technology, I plan to share my perspective, hopefully bringing something fresh to the table.

2. Self-Growth and Discipline
This is obviously an overcrowded topic but it seems to be for a good reason. The same reason that everyone will be in the gym on January 1st. As the world gets more comfortable, people get less satisfied. If there is one thing that 3 years of consistent, grueling workouts has taught me, it is that there is no progress made in the comfort zone. I am no billionaire waking up at 4:30AM to go run a marathon, but I find value in discipline’s correlation to success in my personal journey. It might help you too.

3. Books and Podcasts
There is an abundance of useful information flowing to my brain on the daily through both books and podcasts. Stuff that I feel should be shared with the world. There is nothing more powerful than a good quote or a great podcast recommendation. Expect this weekly.

4. The Joys of Life
Most people’s brain’s are on information overload. Sitting at your desk for hours on end working, followed by a reel of bad world news, only to end with scrolling through Instagram until your thumb falls off can be mentally exhausting. Everyone has their escape. Some like to party. Some like martial arts. And others like playing chess. For me it is surfing, longevity, working out, snowboarding, mountain biking, music, and reading. Each of these escape’s have turned me into the person I am today, and it wouldn’t be my newsletter if I left them out.
Going Forward:
I plan to deliver this newsletter every week on Monday at 9:00AM EST
